Review - Nair Silky Sensations Pomegranate and Soy

I know hair removal is not the most glamorous of subjects to talk about but I have found a product that is making the boring task a little more pleasant, Nair Silky Sensation Pomegranate and Soy.
I haven't used hair removal creams in a long time because any time I have used them in the past I always felt that they never really left my legs all that smooth, so when I tried Nair Silky Sensation I wasn't holding out much hope. I am pleased to say though that I was very pleasantly surprised!
It is incredibly easy to apply, you simply put the cream onto your legs, wait 3 minutes and then wipe of with a cloth, you couldn't get much simpler. I did leave the cream on for slightly longer than that but it does say not to leave it on longer than 10 minutes, which I didn't. After wiping the cream off and giving my legs a quick rinse in the shower I was amazed at how smooth and silky they felt. I was also really pleased with how long they stayed lovely and smooth. One thing I like about the product is way the cream looks in the bottle, its pale pink and cream swirls which blend together when you squeeze it out.
I was slightly disappointed in the smell of the product though. I was hoping that it would smell lovely and fruity seen as it has pomegranate and soy in it but unfortunately it had the same chemically, burnt hair smell that most hair removal creams. This didn't put me off though as the cream worked so well I could over look the few minutes of the horrible smell.
I received this cream as part of a beauty swap I did a while ago so I was unsure of the price of it and if it is still available to buy as I haven't seen it in any shops. But after having a look around on-line I have found it here on Amazon for £3.75 which I think is a great price for something that works so well.  I will definitely be getting some and also trying out some of Nair's other hair removal products!

NOTD - Essie Delicacy

Delicacy is the one and only polish I own from Essie but I have to say after wearing it I will definitely be purchasing some more! It is described as a sheer, shimmery soft pink but when I applied it, it looked slightly more white with a lilac shimmer to it than pink. I applied 3 coats to my nails and it was quite sheer but I think it still looked good. It applied really well and I really liked the formula.
I will definitely be getting some more colours, are there any you think I need in my collection??

Dainty Doll Haul

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, my shifts have changed and I have been doing a first aid course at work which has left me very tired when I get home at night and with no time to blog. The course is finished now (I am very pleased to say I passed!!) so that means I have a little more time on my hands to try squeeze some blogging in!

Before I started my Project 10 Pan I treated myself and picked up a few of the bargain items from the Dainty Doll range from Fragrance Direct. I am so pleased that I did as they are a fantastic price, at most items costing £1.99 and they are brilliant quality.
I picked up the powder blusher in You Are My Sunshine which has fast become one of my favourite blushers. I also got an eyeshadow in Treat Her Like A Lady, it is a gorgeous taupe and perfect for everyday. The last item I got was a lipstick in Baby Love which is a lovely pinky nude.
The packaging is great on all three items, it is very sleek and sturdy and looks great in my collection. If you haven't had a chance to have a look at the range yet then I would definitely recommend you do. It is a great range with great products that I would definitely recommend!

Project 10 Pan

If you have been following my blog for some time, you may remember that I was doing a project 10 pan (which you can read about here) before I went on a little break from blogging. Even though I wasn't blogging I did continue on with P10P and I was extremely pleased with myself when I finally completed all 10 products. It was something I never thought I could do and I was proud of myself for lasting the distance and not cheating and buying any new make up myself while I was doing it.

So after being told by my boyfriend that I have way too much make up and never use half of it, I have decided to do another project 10 pan! This means that for the foreseeable future I won't be purchasing any more make up items until I have finished up 10 products that I already have in my collection. I am really confident that I can do this and not buy any make up until I am done but if people would like to buy me any make up items then this is allowed haha!

So wish me luck! Lets hope it doesn't take too long!!

March Favourites

Nair Silky Sensations- Not very glamorous I know but I have been loving this product this month. It works brilliantly and does exactly what it says it does!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum - I dug this out of my collection this month as my usual work foundation had run out, and I am so glad I did. It gives a gorgeous natural look and is a great everyday foundation.

Percy & Reed No Oil Volumising Oil  - As you all know, I'm sure, this came free with Glamour magazine and I am really glad I picked it up. I was worried it might leave my hair a little greasy but it doesn't at all. It gives me a really nice volume in my hair and a really nice shine.

Everything Balm - This has been my savior this month! I have had various viral infections and colds and I couldn't have gotten through this month with out this product! I have been applying it to my lips and nose mainly and keeps them so lovely and soft, despite the constant blowing my nose and not being able to breath out it. I have been layering this on right before I go to bed.

Trilogy Age Proof Nourishing Night Cream - This is a great cream, I can put it on at night with my skin in a terrible state and wake up in the morning with it all lovely and refreshed looking! I'm not a massive fan of the smell of it but it disappears after a while so not a problem.

Dainty Doll Blusher in You Are My Sunshine - I have seen a lot of people blogging about this blusher recently and I have been loving it! It is supposed to be a dupe for NARS Orgasm but I have never tried it so I can't say if it is or not. It is a gorgeous peachy pinky blush with gold through it and while be a firm favourite in my collection for a long time.

Review - Colour B4 Hair Colour Remover

I have been thinking a lot about the colour of my hair recently, I decided that after a year and a half of being a brunette I had, had enough and wanted to lighten up the colour of my hair. Spring is coming and I was looking for a change.
The only problem was I had a year and a half's worth of dye in my hair and it needed to be removed!
So I went down to my local Boots and had a look at the different hair colour removers they had to offer, and decided on Colour B4 Hair Colour Remover. There were 2 different types to choose from and I went for the Extra version as it was for dark tones and colour build up.

In the box you get an activator, remover and an after treatment buffer. You also get a pair of gloves and instructions. After reading the instructions and getting everything all organised I managed to force persuade my boyfriend to give me a hand, so he donned the gloves and we got to work!

You start by mixing the activator and the remover together which you then apply all over your hair. You then wait for up to an hour for the mixture to work it's magic and then rinse it off using the treatment buffer.

I decided to wait the full hour to wash it out my hair as I have quite a lot of colour build up so I knew it was going to take a lot to get the colour out. After giving the boyfriend a quick guide on how to wash long hair we got started on the rinsing and buffering. One thing I was amazed at when we were rinsing out my hair was that no coloured at all came out in the water.  I was expecting it to be a horrible muddy colour water but it was perfectly clear which worried me slightly. I shouldn't have worried though because, as the instructions said, don't judge it until you have completely dried your hair.

Once my hair was dry I was amazed at the difference in the colour of my hair. I have to admit I had  visions of getting my gorgeous blonde locks back but, I knew it wasn't going to be able to strip all the colour out my hair as it had been dyed so much but you can see a major difference!

Overall I am really pleased with the results, Colour B4 has stripped loads of the colour out my hair and it is definitely on it's way to being the colour that I want.
