I'm In Love!!

Hi again!

I am in love with my latest purchase! I went to Boots yesterday looking for a cream for the dry skin on my heels (not very sexy I know and I'm sorry!). I'd read a lot about Soap and Glory and I've been dying to try some of their products so I thought I would give their Heel Genius ago. I'd heard good things about it and Boots had an offer on so I got a third off. Result!

I tried this for the first time last night. It says to "massage a generous layer of heel genius onto clean feet every night" and then cover it with cotton socks and let it soak in over night.

So this is what I did.

The cream has a really nice fruity smell to it and is a light blue colour. I applied a little of the cream onto my hand after getting home from the shops to see what it was like and I could smell it for the rest of the night. Gorgeous!

I woke up this morning and wasn't really expecting much but I was really surprised with the results! My skin felt really soft and wasn't looking as cracked which I think is pretty good considering Ive only used the product once! This is definitely going to become a regular part of my night time routine!

Hopefully it'll make my feet all lovely and pretty so I can wear lots of nice sandals this summer!

Shampoo and Conditioner Heaven!

Hi everyone!

I recently wrote a post about a prize I had won of £100 worth of Andrew Collinge products. Well today they arrived!

The parcel was delivered while my mum and I were in town so my lovely neighbour took it in for me. My mum went over to get it so when she came back we hurried into the living room to open in. We were like kids a Christmas!

Inside the box everything was wrapped up in tissue paper so I soon set about ripping it off to get my hands on the goodies!

So what did I get........

I'd never owned so much shampoo and conditioner!
Altogether there were 8 shampoos, 8 conditioners and a pair of super slim straighteners.

I got:

2 bottles of Smooth and Shine shampoo
2 bottles of Smooth and Shine conditioner
1 bottle of Illuminating Blonde shampoo
1 bottle of Illuminating Blonde conditioner
1 bottle of Moisturise and Protect shampoo
1 bottle of Moisturise and Protect shampoo

From the new Purity range I got:

2 bottles of HydraTherapy shampoo
2 bottles of HydraTherapy conditioner
2bottles of SmoothTherapy shampoo
2 bottles of SmoothTherapy conditioner
(only one of the conditioners is pictured cause sadly one had burst in the box )

The last thing out the box were my lovely new pair of Andrew Collinge Super Slim straighteners! They are so cute and I cant wait to try them out.

A massive, massive thank you to TeamGleam for the amazing prize! Don't think I'll be needing to buy and shampoo or conditioner anytime soon! I'm going to try these all out and do some reviews for you!

Have you checked out Latestinbeauty.com?

Hi guys!

I've been meaning to do this post for ages and this is me finally getting round to doing it!!

About a month ago I read about a website called Latestinbeauty.com where you can try out sample sized products for a £1 text. I love a good bargain so I thought I would check it out and sign up! It was really quick and easy to sign up and once you've done this you can pick what products you want to try out!

There are 3 categories which are skincare, make up and fragrance and hair and body. You are able to chose 1 product from each category and they are added to goodie bag. Once your goodie bag is full you can go to the checkout and fill in your delivery details. It's at this point that you need to send a text message that costs £1 to get a code to enter. The cost of the message covers the post and packaging so I don't think it's too bad.

So this I what I got......

I got a 1.2ml sample of Christina Aguilera perfume, Mary Kay's Timewise Mircale Set (2 sachets of cleanser and 2 of moisturiser) and a 21g tube of Mary Kay's Timewise Hand and Decollete Hand Cream (this is the perfect size for slipping in your bag!).

You can also get products from Elemis, DKNY, Vichy and Olay Regenerist. You can get sample once a month and they come in this lovely little pink box!

I've only got another 8 days to wait till I can try out some new products!

My New Favourite Perfume!

Ladies if you've not yet got this weeks copy of Grazia magazine (10th - 17th so be quick) then head to the shops and pick one up immediately! There's a voucher in it to receive a free bottle of Banana Republic's Alabaster fragrance worth £8.99. I picked mine up yesterday while shopping in town with a friend and instantly fell in love with it!

You get a really cute little 7.5ml bottle of the eau de parfum which is described as "A delicate blend of wild musk and natural florals". Mmm mmm mmm! It's a really light summery fragrance and when I let my Mum smell it she described it as "very me" (as in very me not her)

The bottles a nice design but I don't like the stopper in it. It just pulls off and knowing me, I'm bound to spill it everywhere at some point. I'm definitely going to be picking up a full size bottle of this once my mini one runs out and I can see it becoming a firm favourite!

What's your favourite summer fragrance??

I WON!! I WON!! I WON!!

Hi everyone!
OMG!! I cant believe it!
Last night I had just turned my laptop off when I got a text message which I thought was a bit weird cause it was half 11 at night. Turned out it was a message from Twitter saying that I had a direct for TeamGleam. The message said that I'd won their top prize of £100 worth of Andrew Collinge hair products! I was in total shock so I quickly turned my laptop back on to check that it was true and not some kind of cruel joke.
IT WAS TRUE!!
There was a message asking me to DM them my email address so that they could get my prize sorted out!
I am so excited!

I entered the competition by retweeting a message on Twitter. I've retweeted so many of these things then totally forget all about them. Goes to show though that it's worth pressing that little button and retweeting the message cause you never know, you might just win!

Small Haul To Cheer Me Up

I've been feeling a bit rubbish the past couple of days so I thought a wee trip into town was in order to try cheer myself up. I was really wanting to try get my hands on one of the Nail Inc. and Diet Coke nail polishes too.
And I was successful!
When I went into Boots there was a whole shelf in the chiller devoted to Diet Coke, but it was empty! I thought I was out of luck so decided to settle for some flavoured water (go for the healthy option and all that) but when I got tills there was a little stand alone stand with some bottles and some nail polishes!! I quickly snapped up 2 bottles of coke and the New York polish, which was the 1 I'd had my eye on. I also picked up a copy of there magazine that's free to advantage card holders.

Then I went to Superdrug, I wanted to get 1 of the Sleek palettes and see if they had re-stocked their MUA stands. Once again I was in luck! I picked myself up a nice green MUA eyeshadow cause I'm wanting to try some green eye looks out. I also got the Sleek original palette and a Pink Cadillac pout polish. These are my first 2 Sleek purchases so I cant wait to use them! I also got a set of N.Y.C false eyelashes and a nail polish cause they were 2 for £3. And once again I picked up their free magazine.

Seen as I was feeling a bit down I decided that some chocolate was in order so I popped into the pound shop to see what they had. I picked up 2 big bars of Cadbury's caramel (I was once told 1 was never enough so always buy 2) and a Toblerone. More than enough to satisfied my chocolate cravings and cheer me up!
When I was in Adsa later doing a bit of shopping with my Mum I noticed that this weeks More magazine had been rolled back to only 80p. Bargain! So had to pick one of those bad boys up too!

NOTD - Purple and Sparkles!!

I was in Superdrug today (going to do a haul post next!) and got this sparkly N.Y.C nail polish. It's got tiny little bits of silver glitter in a clear polish with bigger bits of blue and pink glitter. I decided to team it with my purple Asda nail polish..... and this is the results!

NOTD - Nails Inc. Candy

This is the one of the polishes that were available with this month InStyle magazine. I decided to go for the purple colour cause I had other colours in my collection that were similar to the other 2 colours on offer.
I thought that the polish went on really well, it took 2 coats to get this look and then a top coat. I also think that it lasted really well so overall I'm very impressed!

Review: Rimmel's New 1-2-3 Looks Mascara

I got the new Rimmel mascara the other day whilst I was in Boots. I'd seen it advertised on TV but I wasn't overly impressed by it, surely you could just use less mascara rather than getting a gimmicky new product?!? But my mascara ran out and it was on offer for £5.99 (£2off) so I thought it couldn't hurt to try it out. Worse that will happen is I lose out on £5.99.

First of all I have to say I'm not overly keen on the packaging, its a bit fat and dumpy.

So the selling point of the product is that you can achieve 3 different looks with 1 mascara. You twist the top half of the tube to the number that you wanna use and away you go. I don't really get it though cause as far as I can see all that happens when you chose a different number is that there's more or less mascara on the wand.

Using the first setting it left quite a nice amount of mascara on my lashes and I was quite impressed. Today I tried it on number 2 and I felt that it made my lashes a little clump, so not so impressive.
I'm really bad for rubbing my eyes so I thought I would put it to the test and see how it held up. The results.... not very well.

I've not tried the mascara on the third setting but I'm not holding out much hope. I think it's definitely going to give me nice dark eyelashes but I can see it being quite clumpy.

For £5.99 its not a bad mascara but I don't think i would buy it again once it runs out.

NOTD - No.7 Poolside Blue

I got this polish with my £5off No.7 voucher from Boots. I let my boyfriend choice what colour I was going to get and he picked this gorgeous summery blue! It's one of their new colours and it dries unbelievably quickly. It only took 1 coat to get this colour, which I was really impressed with. I think this will look gorg on my toes once I crack out the summer sandals!
