Review - Rimmel Lash Accelerator

I had seen this mascara featured in lots of peoples favourites posts so I thought I would give it a try when I spotted it in Boots the other week with some money off.

I really like the packaging and the shape of the wand, but that's where the things I like about it stop.

I really wanted to like this mascara and have been using it every day since I got it trying to get it to work for me but it just doesn't.
It leaves my lashes really clumpy and takes forever to dry!
There's been a couple of times where it has taken nearly 10 minutes to dry and 9 times out of 10 I end up with a load of it under my eye.
Maybe once I've had it a while it might start working better for me but for now it will be staying in my make up drawer.

Have you tried this mascara??

What's In My Make Up Bag

I've seen lots of these on YouTube and on blogs so I thought I would share what's in my make up bag with you!

My make up bag is a pretty boring dusty pink colour, I think it's from Virgin Vie but I can't remember. I got it years a go off of Santa :)

One thing I really like about it though is that it's quite big and you can get a lot in it.

So inside it I've got.....

ELF Complexion Perfection powder
MAC Wintersky Eyeshadow
ELF Eyeshadow Quad
ELF C brush
ELF Blush brush
ELF Complexion brush
Benefit Boi ing concealer
Benefit Erase Paste
Benefit IT Stick
NYC Eyeshadow Duo
MAC Feline Eye Khol
Eyeko Graffiti Liner in black
17 Blusher (I think it's Plum Puff)
Eyeko Blusher
Eyeko Lipgloss in Shoreditch
Maybelline Colossal mascara
Alamy Pressed Powder

Writing that list had just made me realise how I seem to stick to the same brands! I could probably get by without half that stuff in there! I've normally got a couple of lipsticks thrown in too. I tend to put stuff in my make up bag and then just leave it in there even if I'm not using it.

So what's in your make up bag?
Do a response and link me, I love being nosy! :)

Haul Part 2 - Boots and Primark

Sorry this post has taken so long to get up! I've had that rotten cold that's been going around and have just had no motivation after I get in from work.

So this is the second part of my haul from the other day, it's also got my Soap and Glory set that I picked up from Boots the other day!

So what did I get in Primark........

I picked up these tights, they are a nude colour but they have a pattern on the leg, I can't wait to wear these! I also got a little set that has 2 lip balms, a lip liner and a little wallet, it was reduced to £1 so I thought the lip balms would be OK to chuck in my bag.

I also picked up a new hairband. Ive got quite a small head so the elastic ones tend to slide off the back of my head if I wear them for any length of time, hopefully this one will last a bit longer.

I thought this were really cute! It's a little pair of tweezers! I think they were only £1.50 and they've got a wee sucker thing that you can stick to your mirror so you will always have your tweezers handy!

I picked up a packet of nail foils, these were £3 so I thought I would try them out and see how good they are. I also got an eye pencil that was in the sale, think this was £1.

Now on to Boots..............

I went into town on Sunday to pick up my Soap and Glory order, they couldn't find it at first so thought I'd had a wasted journey. It was OK though, it had been put in another stockroom and they found it eventually! The boy at the desk was really nice and kept saying sorry, bless him.

Inside the box I got:

•Soap & Glory Marvelips, 4.53g
•Soap & Glory Clean Mary, 180ml
•Soap & Glory Wash Almighty, 500ml
•Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker, 7ml
•Soap & Glory Slimwear, 190ml
•Soap & Glory Return to Slender, 200ml
•Soap & Glory Touch & Glow, 75ml
•Soap & Glory Eye Lift, 15ml
•Soap & Glory Mighty Mouth, 9ml + 2 x 4g
•Soap & Glory Wizard of Flaws, 1ml

It's about half toiletries and half make up. I've not had a proper play about with anything though so I'll need to do that and then hopefully get some reviews up.

While I was there I thought I would pick up a couple things I was wanting and use my No. 7 voucher. With my voucher I got the No. 7 Shine Free Primer. I've got a really oily t-zone so thought I would give this a go and see if it helps any. It was £11 so I got it for £6 with my voucher. I also got the new Bio detox foundation from Bourjois and Rimmels Lash Accelerator. I picked up a bottle of baby shampoo cause it was only £1 and will do for cleaning my brushes. I also got another No. 7 voucher so I'll need to think of something else I want to try out.
Anyone got any recommendations?

Haul Part 1 - Boots and TK Maxx

I feel a little bit guilty about this post as I'm supposed to be saving to move in with my boyfriend, but yesterday was the first time in a long time that I've actually gone out the shops and spent any amount of money on myself.

I started off in Boots!
First up, I was looking at the Soap and Glory section and picked up the miniature of their hand food for my bag, Ive never tried this but Ive seen rave reviews for it so I thought I would give it a try.
Right next to the Soap and Glory section is the FCUK products and a little offer they had on caught my eye. If you spent £4 on any of their products then you got a free Mini Pampering Collection set worth £8.43. There were two to choose from and seen as I have already got the Polished Mini Pampering Collection I chose the Pure Mini Pampering Collection after deciding to get their Pure Hand Cream. In the set you get a mini pure body wash, a mini pure body lotion, a mini pure shower scrub and a mini pure body spray. I know that I got another hand cream but this one is a bigger one that I'm putting on my bedside table to use at home.
I also got a bottle of the Umberto Giannini Backcomb In A Bottle, I can't wait to try this out! There was also an offer on the Umberto Giannini products and you could get 2 for £7. I cant remember how much Backcomb in a Bottle was but it was over £5 so I decided to pick up a bottle of their sea salt spray to give it a try as well.

I also got one of their £5 off vouchers so I think I'll be popping back into Boots to see what I can pick up with that!

The next shop I went to was TK Maxx where I got some amazing deals!
I was looking at the beauty section and noticed a whole loads of Stila sets for £14. In each set you got a tinted moisturiser, an eyeshadow pan and a lipstick but you couldn't chose which colours you got or test them as they were all sealed. After quite a while deciding which set I was going to go for and finally picking one I noticed the sale section that had set for only £7!! I decided on one of the sale sets cause they were just too good an offer to miss. In the set I got an illuminating tinted moisturiser with SPF 15 in shade 2, a shine lip colour in tina and an eyeshadow pan in nanda devi. I was a little unsure about the lip colour as this was the only one that I had no idea what it would look like but I actually really like the colour. I also got another eyeshadow in sparkle which had been in one of the more expensive sets I was going to get. It was £4.

(Top - Nanda Devi, Middle - Sparkle, Bottom - Tina)

The last thin I picked up in TK Maxx was the NYX bronze goddess box. In the set you get 12 eyeshadows, 3 of which are glitter creams, 6 bronzers, 5 lip colours and applicators and a mirror. This set was £8 which I think is great value! The colours are all gorgeous browns which I love. This set will be great for taking to my boyfriends as it all folds away and doesn't take up too much room.

So it was a pretty good shopping trip in my eyes! I also got some stuff from Primark but I'm going to do a separate post on that cause this ones long enough as it is.

My Little Book Of Blogging

Today I started my little book of blogging! It's a little notebook that I have had for ages and never used so I thought this would be the perfect use for it!

(Picture taken from

I am forever reading blogs and seeing things that I want to try out or I'm out shopping and suddenly get an idea about a blog post to do. By the time I finally get round to sitting down and writing my posts all my ideas have disappeared, I have got such a bad memory! This is where my little book of blogging will come in handy. I am going to use it to right down all the ideas I have for blog post, any product I want to try and anything blog related really.

So do you have any ideas I can put in my little book??

My Little MAC Collection

When I started my blog last year my make up collection was made up entirely of drugstore make up. Now though my collection of higher-end products is growing and my little collection of MAC is getting bigger and bigger!

Feline eye khol, Victorian lipstick, Viva Glam Gaga lipstick,
My Dark Magic eyeshadow, Knight Divine eyeshadow, Vainglorious eyeshadow, Wintersky eyeshadow, Formidable nail polish,  Bad Fairy nail polish

I know it's not a massive collection of MAC but I am slowly adding to it and I love all the products that I've got so far. I think my favourites are Knight Divine and Vainglorious but I only got Feline, Victorian and Wintersky the other day from a blog sale so I've still to have a play about with them.
