NOTD - NYX Rainbow Sparkle

I thought I would put something a little bright on my nails to try cheer myself up seen as we're now well on the way to it being winter!

As you can see the colour on my nails has come out slightly darker than the shade in the bottle and it's not very opaque. I think the next time I wear this shade I will put a white coat of polish on first and then apply rainbow sparkle.
I love it though, it brightens up my day when I look down and see it!

My Lipstick Collection and Swatches

Today I thought I would share with you my ever growing collection of lipsticks!

I do have a couple others that I seem to have lost!
Up until about a year ago I was very much a lipgloss girl and thought that lipsticks were for old ladies and owned none. What a difference a year can make! I now have some what of a lipstick obsession. I do still wear my lipglosses now and again but I am now a convert lipstick lover!

The Pinks!
Left to right -
NYX Femme, NYX Jupiter NYX Strawberry Milk, Barry M 100, Rimmel Pink Blush, MUA Shade 4, MAC Viva Glam, MAC Victorian

The Nudes!

Left to right -
Natural Collection Lotus, Natural Collection Apple Blossom, NYX Orange Soda, MAC The Fairie Glen, MAC Peachstock, Barry M 101

And the rest!
Left to right -
Stila Tina, 17 Belle, 17 Cookie, Revlon Plum, NYX Margarita

I also have 17 Beehive which is probably my most used lipstick. I seems to have been swallowed up by the pit that is my bag though!

I have a funny feeling that my little collection will just keep growing and growing!

What are you favourite lipsticks??

NYX Swatches

After posting about my NYX find the other day a few of you asked me for some swatches,
so here they are!

First up......

Blushes:

Top: Natural
Bottom: Mocha

Both of these are so pigmented! A little definitely goes a long way with these.
They both blended out really well.

Blushes blended out slightly.

Eyeshadows:

Top: Violet
Middle: Flamenco
Bottom: Pretty Pink

This is quite a heavy swatch of Pretty Pink but it comes out slightly darker than it looks in the pan. The eyeshadow lasted really well and hardly creased while I was wearing them and that was without a primer!

Flamenco is such a gorgeous colour,
it has a gold going through it so it looks amazing when the light hits it

Lipglosses and Lip Pencil:

Left to right - Lip pencil in Mauve, Lipgloss in Whipped, Lipgloss in Strawberry

I LOVE whipped!! It is such a gorgeous nude gloss, I have been wearing it nearly everyday since I got it. It lasts well on the lips as well.

Lipsticks:

Top: Margaritta
Bottom: Femme

Femme

Both these lipsticks go on really smoothly and haven't dried my lips out at all.

Margaritta

After trying out the products I will definitely be going back to purchase some more! I would love to try some more of the creme blushes and lipsticks. They had some of the jumbo pencils in the shop but they weren't in colours I really fancied, tempted to try them though as all the things I already have are so good!

Haul Part 1 - Boots and TK Maxx

I feel a little bit guilty about this post as I'm supposed to be saving to move in with my boyfriend, but yesterday was the first time in a long time that I've actually gone out the shops and spent any amount of money on myself.

I started off in Boots!
First up, I was looking at the Soap and Glory section and picked up the miniature of their hand food for my bag, Ive never tried this but Ive seen rave reviews for it so I thought I would give it a try.
Right next to the Soap and Glory section is the FCUK products and a little offer they had on caught my eye. If you spent £4 on any of their products then you got a free Mini Pampering Collection set worth £8.43. There were two to choose from and seen as I have already got the Polished Mini Pampering Collection I chose the Pure Mini Pampering Collection after deciding to get their Pure Hand Cream. In the set you get a mini pure body wash, a mini pure body lotion, a mini pure shower scrub and a mini pure body spray. I know that I got another hand cream but this one is a bigger one that I'm putting on my bedside table to use at home.
I also got a bottle of the Umberto Giannini Backcomb In A Bottle, I can't wait to try this out! There was also an offer on the Umberto Giannini products and you could get 2 for £7. I cant remember how much Backcomb in a Bottle was but it was over £5 so I decided to pick up a bottle of their sea salt spray to give it a try as well.

I also got one of their £5 off vouchers so I think I'll be popping back into Boots to see what I can pick up with that!

The next shop I went to was TK Maxx where I got some amazing deals!
I was looking at the beauty section and noticed a whole loads of Stila sets for £14. In each set you got a tinted moisturiser, an eyeshadow pan and a lipstick but you couldn't chose which colours you got or test them as they were all sealed. After quite a while deciding which set I was going to go for and finally picking one I noticed the sale section that had set for only £7!! I decided on one of the sale sets cause they were just too good an offer to miss. In the set I got an illuminating tinted moisturiser with SPF 15 in shade 2, a shine lip colour in tina and an eyeshadow pan in nanda devi. I was a little unsure about the lip colour as this was the only one that I had no idea what it would look like but I actually really like the colour. I also got another eyeshadow in sparkle which had been in one of the more expensive sets I was going to get. It was £4.

(Top - Nanda Devi, Middle - Sparkle, Bottom - Tina)

The last thin I picked up in TK Maxx was the NYX bronze goddess box. In the set you get 12 eyeshadows, 3 of which are glitter creams, 6 bronzers, 5 lip colours and applicators and a mirror. This set was £8 which I think is great value! The colours are all gorgeous browns which I love. This set will be great for taking to my boyfriends as it all folds away and doesn't take up too much room.

So it was a pretty good shopping trip in my eyes! I also got some stuff from Primark but I'm going to do a separate post on that cause this ones long enough as it is.
